A 43-year-old man was arrested in mid-August in Nikaia, western Athens, for installing a hidden camera in the women’s toilets at his workplace, authorities said on Thursday.

He faces charges of violating personal data protection laws and possession of child pornography, after authorities found incriminating material on his computer.

The case came to light when a 50-year-old female coworker at the office in Pallini, in eastern Athens, discovered the device and filed a complaint with local police.

Officers recovered a memory card from the camera containing footage of the man adjusting the device.

A search of his home yielded computers, mobile phones, external hard drives and memory cards containing child pornography. Investigators also found hidden cameras in his bathroom and other areas of the house.
