What the prime minister said on Monday about the possibility of establishing a new ministry of research and innovation in the future shows that the government seems to be taking the future of research in Greece seriously.

This was preceded by successive interventions by important Greek scientists who excel in various sectors in the country and abroad, who had called for radical changes. Greece must utilize Greek “brains,” wherever they are, and give priority to research.
