Giannis Antetokounmpo is chasing Nikos Gallis’ record of most consecutive 25-point games in EuroBasket history.

Giannis has scored 25+ points in eight consecutive EuroBasket games and is leading Greece’s charge toward what they hope will be their first title since 2005, averaging 29 points, 7.5 rebounds, and three assists per game in two appearances.

Nikos Gallis’ record stands at 19 consecutive 25-point games.

Giannis made his debut at EuroBasket 2015, but started his streak of 25+ points per game in the 2022 tournament, having been absent from the 2017 tournament.

With a maximum of six games remaining for them in this year’s tournament, if Greece makes the final, Giannis could reach 14 consecutive games with 25+ points. This means he could actually equal the record in the final group stage game of EuroBasket 2029, which Greece will co-host.

Greece coach Vassilis Spanoulis expressed his gratitude for Antetokounmpo’s attitude and passion to win.
